This will work even if you don’t have a 60D and don’t want to go for extreme slo-mo. It’s a good editing trick to learn.

The one problem with the optical flow tool is in my experience when you try to use it on a video shot with a limited light environment such as indoors or with a video including lots of details. Try to film shots against plain and simple backgrounds, preferably in heavy sunlight.
Yes, there are many shots where this effect does not work well. Shooting outside against the snow was a good choice.
